Assistant Professor Of Business Administration

Northwestern State University, School of Business is currently seeking qualified applicants for the Assistant Professor of Business Administration position. Position starting date August 11, 2025. Review of applications will begin immediately, and position will remain open until filled.

Minimum Qualifications: Doctorate in business related field preferred (Business Administration, Finance, Management, Marketing, or another business area). Master's in business related field required; applicant must earn doctorate within six years of hire. Primary teaching responsibility in business communication area; consideration given to other areas of teaching. Documented higher education teaching experience and documented research record are preferred. Preference given to applicants with demonstrated higher education teaching experience. Applicants should possess extensive knowledge in business field, higher education teaching using a variety of technologies, and a documented record of higher education teaching performance in both face-to-face and online classes. Excellent written and oral communication skills.

Job Duties and Other Information: Teach 12 credit hours of business courses, maintain office hours, advise/counsel students, serve on various committees and assist in program development. Engage in scholarly activities including research and professional publication. Participate in professional service activities within the college, university, or above. Other duties as assigned by the Director of the School of Business. Benefits for unclassified employees are determined by the individual hiring authority.
