Job Summary:

Sales Associates are responsible for engaging with customers professionally and courteously, both in-store and over the phone. This role involves assisting customers with their home improvement or construction projects by providing knowledgeable guidance and support. It requires knowledge of the building and home improvement industry, strong communication and interpersonal skills, as well as technical proficiency in quoting and computer systems. A commitment to delivering excellent customer service is essential.

Qualifications:

1. Education: Basic education encompasses the ability to read and write competently.
2. Training and Experience: Some experience in selling/serving customers, as well as knowledge of building materials, is desirable. Additionally, limited typing and keypunch skills are desirable, but not required.
3. Job Knowledge: Should have general knowledge of the building industry.
4. Physical Demands: The work requires some physical effort, involving standing, walking, and moderate lifting. Works in an air-conditioned environment as well as non-A/C controlled environment. (Important: This job is classified in the physical demands section of the job description [Form IV-31] as constant medium work and occasional heavy work.)
