US Logistics Manager -

Location: St. Gabriel, Louisiana

Key Responsibilities:

  • Logistics Coordination & Execution: Oversee planning, coordination, and execution of all logistics activities related to Raw Materials, Finished Goods, Spare Parts, and Equipment. This includes managing both inbound and outbound logistics operations.
  • Safety & Compliance: Ensure safety protocols are adhered to during all receiving, shipping, and delivery processes.
  • Supplier & Vendor Management: Collaborate with suppliers to meet customer needs while staying within budget constraints. Manage supplier relationships to optimize performance and cost-efficiency.
  • Transportation & Fleet Management: Organize and oversee transport logistics for trading and intercompany shipments. Responsible for managing the US fleet to support operational needs.
  • Customs & Compliance: Coordinate all import/export customs processes, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and efficient shipping.
  • On-Time Delivery: Drive on-time shipping, delivery, and overall customer satisfaction by optimizing logistics processes.
  • Strategic Scenario Planning: Develop scenarios and strategies to enable flexible, on-demand logistics planning to adapt to business needs.

The role will span the US region for Orbia F&EM, playing a crucial part in transforming the business from a traditional large-scale chemical's operation into a more agile, purpose-driven, future-ready, and customer-focused organization. It supports a diverse, multi-product portfolio with global supply chains and complex regulatory requirements. Key responsibilities include organizing and managing shipping and delivery processes with a proactive, collaborative, and customer-centric mindset to enhance customer satisfaction. The role emphasizes strict adherence to budget targets and upholding the highest safety standards.

COMPLEXITY OF THE JOB

  • Quickly and effectively understand the needs of both internal and external customers.
  • Ensure on-time, in-full deliveries while staying within budget.
  • Handle supply disruptions by developing alternative solutions in response to external challenges beyond the company's control.
  • Communicate clearly and manage expectations effectively.

M MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Collaborate closely with the Global Team to stay aligned with strategic and operational objectives.
  • Exhibit proactive behaviors and take initiative to maximize customer satisfaction, optimize costs, and enhance business value.
  • Efficiently manage day-to-day activities while organizing and prioritizing special requirements.
  • Ensure the logistics function adheres to safety, compliance, ethical standards, and both internal and external audit requirements.
  • Collaborate with Service Delivery Managers across regions, sharing best practices and providing support and guidance as needed.
  • Take a hands-on approach to ensure all activities are completed on time and in full, delivering outstanding service to customers.
  • Oversee the leasing, inspection, maintenance, testing, repairs, and decommissioning of the US F&EM fleet.
  • Proactively identify and resolve both short- and long-term issues affecting customer service, implementing necessary changes and effectively influencing stakeholders to drive continuous improvement. Clearly communicate values, standards, and behaviors.
  • Build and strengthen relationships with suppliers and service providers, focusing on total value and continuous improvement. Conduct regular reviews to uphold high standards in safety, delivery, and cost-efficiency.
  • Manage the department's budget, consistently seeking value and cost optimization.
  • Support and fulfil any additional tasks as directed by the Service Delivery Director.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records in the ERP system, ensuring adherence to recording procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with quality systems.
  • Monitor, report, and follow up on key performance indicators (KPIs).

EDUCATION

Minimum:

Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in Business, Engineering, or a related field.

Desirable: ACSAP or other formal logistics certification, along with experience in shipping, international trade, and/or supply chain management.

KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED
  • In-depth knowledge of logistics, shipping, customs, and Incoterms.
  • Experience with SAP HANA or similar ERP systems.
  • Familiarity with ISO-tank operations and the shipping/handling of pressurized gases is a significant advantage.
  • Strong IT skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office and business analytics, are a distinct advantage.

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

At least three years of experience in end-to-end logistics (shipping, storage, customs, contracting, and freight cost management).

Experience with import and export requirements.

Experience with international trade.

"The compensation for this position will typically range from $102,000-$166,000/yr. The actual base pay offered to the successful candidate will be based on multiple factors, including but not limited to job-related knowledge/skills, experience, geographical location, and internal equity.

The compensation package may also include short and long-term incentive compensation.
